About me
I am gaming since I was six years old. I was starting to game on console and then moved on to the PC. The first game I played on PC was Monkey Island. My father assisted me while I try to play because the game was in English. And as a child and German as native language, I didn’t understand anything.
Console approach
Yes, it was Christmas, and I was six years old. I loved Santa Claus because they gave me a Sega Master System II and there were two games: Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Sonic the Hedgehog. The journey with the console continued with Shinobi and Street Of Rage.
Get in touch with the PC
My first experience with the personal computer was in 1991. I try to use Windows 3.x and played with assistance of my father, Monkey Island. In 1995, I got my own PC and the strategy genre was my new favorite one. To that time I played Dune II and Command and Conquer and later Starcraft.
In 2005, I turned the genre and showed the strategy genre my back. I played World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. In have done a break from MMO games in 2009 till 2012. Then I recognized that there was the release of Guild Wars II. I played it till 2016.
In 2018, I found World of Warships Blitz. For me, it was a right choice because the battles are faster than in the original game World of Warships. That was more suitable for me. I have had two young children to this time, and when there was an interruption (in the night) it didn’t matter that much. Another positive aspect of WOWS blitz is that it can be played on mobile devices. So if you are nearly afk because of your child / children, you can do a move and don’t get banned.
Back to the roots
In 2020 a colleague and me have done a business trip to Italy. We drove by car from Germany to Italy. So there was a lot of time to talk while we were driving. I recognized that there was a second part of Starcraft available. I completely missed the release of Starcraft II. It was in 2010. 🙂
I was fascinating by the game as he explained me due to the business trip. So I decided as soon as I am back home I will download the game. I still play the game now, but more time I spend now on Dune Spice Wars.
